Tania Kross with Ernst Munneke and Randal Corsen

During her last tour for the time being, Tania celebrates her 25th anniversary together with her two musical friends.
Tania Kross celebrates her first quarter century as a singer this season. On the occasion of this jubilee, the mezzo-soprano will give an exclusive jubilee recital together with her two musical friends, the pianists Ernst Munneke and Randal Corsen. Tania with wings! An intimate concert with attention to the musical highlights in her career and to her beloved island of Curaçao.

In the mid-1990s, the brave, very young Curaçaoan Tania Kross came to the Netherlands to study singing at the Conservatory in Utrecht. She moved into the lecture hall next to Ernst Munneke, who was studying the piano, and the two immediately fell in love. Their friendship grew into an internationally acclaimed musical collaboration that has lasted for 25 years. They have performed all over the world: from the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam to Carnegie Hall in New York. Ernst Munneke is currently a member of the musical staff of Dutch National Opera. He accompanied Tania Kross on her Edison Award-winning debut CD Corazon.

On Curaçao, Tania met the talented Randal Corsen. Randal also left for the Netherlands in the 1990s to study piano. Back on Curaçao, he grew into the musical brain of the island. He combines his knowledge of jazz and classical music with his love for Caribbean music and traditional instruments. He performs all over the world and works as a teacher at various conservatories. Randal won an Edison Jazz Award for his solo debut Evolushon. He composed the opera Katibu di Shon for Tania Kross.
