The BlueBirds

The BlueBirds

Great Big World + Lotte Walda

These fantastic singers surprise every concert hall with their musicality, love for music, fun and stories.
These amazing singers and songwriters pay tribute to women! In 2017, The BlueBirds started as a trio from their shared love for country music. After a successful first theater tour and reprise, they are now back with a second theater show in a new form.

Women’s collective
From 2021, The BlueBirds will become a women’s collective, in which artists Krystl and Rachèl Louise take the lead as permanent Birds. They wrote their second album Great Big World together with several female vocalists and songwriters such as Janne Schra, Hadewych Minis, Yori Swart and Birgit Schuurman. Songs inspired by indie and folk music where polyphony predominates. This album addresses themes such as female power, friendship and finding peace in the chaos of this world.

Special Guest
In an intimate atmosphere, in addition to songs from the Great Big World album, the audience will also experience classics by Dolly Parton, The Chicks and Kacey Musgraves, among others. Songs from the well-received debut album Sisters are also featured. Catchy, polyphonic and personal, as befits this genre. Special about this theater show is the Special Guest. Every evening, Krystl and Rachèl Louise are complemented by a female artist who also collaborates on the album, such as Leonie Meijer or Kris Berry.

Be surprised by these women with their musicality, stories and love for music!
