Despite criticism from the British press, The Toy Dolls defy the stereotypes of ‘one-hit wonders’ and celebrate 40 years, 13 albums and worldwide success. Lead singer/guitarist Michael ‘Olga’ Algar, a punk guitar icon, distances himself from the band by drawing inspiration from Mick Green, Wilko Johnson, Chuck Berry, The Jam, The Sweet and Slade. Olga’s contributions extend to guest appearances, songwriting and production.
