Thundermother are returning to Germany and bringing new songs with them! After countless fantastic shows, the band around Filippa Nässil is considered one of Sweden’s biggest rock sensations and is now known worldwide.

Skåne-born guitarist Filippa Nässil laid the foundation for Thundermother in the autumn of 2009. Originally based in Växjö, where she pursued her studies, she later moved to Stockholm to form a band. Now, in 2024, Thundermother are about to celebrate their 15th anniversary and can look back on an impressive track record of success, including numerous successful world tours. The Swedish band has enjoyed great success throughout Europe and was one of the most active touring bands in the world between 2017 and 2021. Their last three albums, “Heat Wave,” “Heatwave Deluxe Edition,” and “Black & Gold,” all released on AFM Records, achieved top positions in the European charts (album charts: Germany #6, Sweden #8, Switzerland #15, etc.) and secured the number one spot in the Swedish hard rock charts. Such successes didn’t go unnoticed – the team around the world-famous Scorpions picked up the phone and asked the Swedish powerhouse band if they would like to join the Scorpions on their three-month stadium tour through North America. After this successful and seamless collaboration, there was only one option for the Scorpions – to also bring Thundermother along on their European tour. 39 shows in front of more than 600,000 fans across Europe and North America! Not to mention all the other highly acclaimed performances, such as the invitation from KISS to play on their official “KISS Cruise,” three appearances at Wacken Open Air, and numerous other festivals and trade fairs. Thundermother aim to become the next generation of headliners – with 2,000 shows under their belt, the prestigious Gaffa Award as Sweden’s best hard rock band of 2020 on their shelf, the European double silver Impala Award on their wall, and a 5/5 rating from “Rocknytt” (Sweden Rock Festival 2023) as the only band out of 40 in the festival report!

Even though their sound is absolutely fresh, these three are definitely not newcomers: Julia Lorünser (bass/vocals), Lux Reinhold (vocals/guitar), and Lukas Linschinger (drums), aka Igel vs. Shark. Their beginnings date back to 2009, but things really took off for them in 2015. Fans of the band then had to wait a long time for the Viennese band’s debut album – a full four years. But it was worth it, because with their driving riffs and captivating vocals, they made a real statement with their very first album. Warning: For anyone who loves straight-forward rock, their songs have serious earworm potential.
